King of the Streets

Even before I write this, I bet you could guess at what the story of Downtown Run (City Racer) is. The basics are you want to be the best and raddest street racer in the world and you can only do that by winning races and showing everyone that you are the best around. It is a basic premise, but what more can you really do in a game like this?

Hitting the Streets

There was no shortage of street racing games when this was released. The presentation leaves a lot to be desired. This game has a very budget feel to the visuals. It uses real cars and they do not look bad. However, when this came out we also had games like Need for Speed Underground and Midnight Club that also were themed around street racing and those games still look decent to this day, Downtown Run (City Racer) on the other hand has aged quite poorly. This is most evident in the stages. There is a pretty decent variety of tracks that are based all over the world, but the finer details look pretty bad. Trees especially look like 2D cardboard cutouts! Again, this is a budget title, but to me, street racing should be cool and sleek and this game is certainly not that.

Arcade Street Racing

To be fair, the gameplay of this is not horrible. It feels way more like an arcade-style racing game than a sim and I like that. The cars all have a nice feel to them and you can upgrade and use power-ups to help give you an edge as you race. This makes the game more fun and it also makes forgiving the less than 100 percent precise controls a bit easier.

You have a fairly decent selection of game modes to enjoy. The Championship mode is the main one you will be doing in single-player and that is not bad. You can also do single races, time trials, and so on as well as some multiplayer modes which are way more fun than you would think.

I have played worse street racing games that Downtown Run (City Racer) that is for sure. However, I have also played way better ones as well. This is a budget game and it plays like one and sure as hell looks and sounds like one too. So while this is not a bad game, there are just so many better street racing games that came out around the same time as this one that it makes it kind of hard to recommend.

• The cars do not look that bad
• I liked the arcade-style of racing
• Plenty of game modes
• I liked the power-ups

Cons:

• The whole game is just pretty average in every regard
• It has not aged well at all

Evil Nun is a horror escape room type of game. The goal of the game is to escape the school before she kills you. For you to do this, you must solve different puzzles. These puzzles use different items that you have to search from the rooms in the school. Lastly, you are given five days to escape the school.

Every time the evil nun catches you, you lose a day and wake up in the same starting area the next day. To defend yourself, you may use a weapon in the game. One of those is the dynamite doll which can be used to knock out the evil nun for sixty seconds. But obtaining the weapon will not be easy. You would need to find items within the school that will be used to assemble into the dynamite doll.

Always Be Careful & Watch Out

Since the main goal of Evil Nun is to escape the school alive, there is one thing that you must remember. Keep in mind that the evil nun has a very sensitive hearing. She will hear any sound you make in the game. If she hears you, she will go after you.

If you make a sound and she goes after you, make sure to stealthily escape from her. Just look for areas like closets, cupboards, or lockers to hide into. But make sure first that when you are about to hide, she does not see you hide in them. If she sees you, she will still find you and kill you.

Whenever the evil nun sees you, she will scream loudly before she comes after you. This is a good indicator that she is near you and it would be best to quickly hide. But just make sure she doesn’t see you going into your hiding spot!
